Postage Collage Herb Silhouettes

Today I'm playing at Crazy is our Fame - Stencils are our Game Challenge Blog! If you love stencils, you really need to check them out.

I love the Postage Collage Series from Waffle Flower Crafts. I never thought they'd have so many different designs to choose from and each release is better than the last.

This one starts with the Postage Collage Waves stencil that was inspired by one of my very own cards. I made a wavy background masking with sticky notes. I don't need to do that any more now that this stencil set is available!

Once I inked the blocks I just stamped the Herb Silhouettes and then topped the inky panel with a die cut frame. The "air mail" stripes are from the Postage Collage Coloring stencil set. I inked them in colors to coordinate with the window colors.

I'm usually a brights gal, but I'm really happy with these more toned down colors turned out! It's a good reminder to try something you might not be so comfortable with.

Jolly Wave Hello

Today I'm playing at Word Power Challenge where it's always anything goes as long as a word is the focus of your design.

My card is made with lots of goodness from Waffle Flower Designs and look! No stamps! All dies! LOL!!!

I started with the Jolly Wave A2 Background Panel cut from white cardstock. I adhered it to a sheet of double sided tape and then cut up ALOT of scraps and inserted all the little pieces into the sticky holes to create this beautiful colorful background.

I topped the pretty panel with a great big Waving Hello Word die. To make it pop I cut the outline die from gold glitter cardstock. The detail word die is cut from white cardstock. This die also includes an exclamation mark that I left off the design.

Sow Glad We're Friends

Today I'm playing along at Ellibelle's Corner - Garden Party No. 18 where it's anything in or from a garden. Ok so how many of you out there have a garden gnome? Hand raised here! I've got him tucked in a secret spot so you need to walk around the entire yard to find him!

My card features lots of goodness from Waffle Flower. I started with a green cardstock background topped with a Gingham die cut to look like a white trellis for the garden.

I used a circle die cut to create a focal point and then topped it with the Seed Packet die. The die set includes the layers you see so you can customize the seed packet for the blooms or veggies of your choice. There is a Seed Packet Icons set that includes some of those like the violet I used on my card.

I added a sweet Happy Gnome and a punny sentiment to complete my design.

Rooting For You

Today I'm linking up to Cupcake Inspirations where the theme this time is In The Garden! I am absolutely a gardener! If I'm not crafting you'll find me outside in the garden soaking up the sun!

This is part of the Postage Collage collection from Waffle Flower. I started with the Wavy Lines stencil that I inked with Distress Ink. Next I stamped images on each square with the Garden Silhouettes stamp set. I used Versafine Onyx Black ink. If you don't line it up to the bottom just right, no worries because a sharpie marker matches the color perfectly.

I topped the inky panel with a Postage Collage Blocks frame in peach. I layered that over a panel that I inked in the same colors as the Wavy Lines. I cut that panel with a Piercing Rectangle to add the little dotted detail along the edge.

A subsentiment printed precut label and a few die cut garden tools from the Gardening Add Ons die set is the finishing touch along with a few enamel dots.

Sending this one out to anyone who might be going through a hard time today. I know sometimes life is rough but know that you're not going through it alone.

This is the Happy Circles die from Waffle Flower. I cut it with white cardstock. If you look close you'll see that I layered it over a panel of Distress Inked paper in rainbow colors.

But if you look even closer you might notice that there is a background of purple too! This is accomplished by using the coordinating stencil set. I inked the purple first, and then switched stencils to add the rainbow colors.

I topped the panel with a great big sentiment from the Old Friend Sentiment Set. It includes four different sentiments as well as the heart die used on my card.
